Raising awareness and promoting prevention are an important part of our continuing mission to improve the health and wellness of our community.Each year South Lake Hospital hosts a variety of special events and screenings to enhance community health and education. Men's Health Event. Kenneth A. Essig, M.D., board certified urologist, will give a brief educational presentation. The screening will include a digital exam (DRE) and prostate specific antigen blood test (PSA).
The American Urological Association encourages all men who are in good health to have an annual prostate cancer screening starting at age 50, or at age 40 if they're in high risk groups. Please consult a physician. Please click here for flyer.
